ATLANTA (May 3, 2022) – For the third time, Rural Sourcing has been named one of the top 100 fastest-growing companies in metro Atlanta by the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Pacesetter list. Headquartered in Atlanta, Rural Sourcing operates ten development centers across the U.S., where teams create innovative software solutions for some of the country’s largest companies. Rural Sourcing was number 41 on the prestigious list.
The annual Pacesetter list analyzes sales data to determine growth over a two-year period. During that time, Rural Sourcing has increased its commitment to creating technology jobs in Middle America. In August 2021, the company announced its first acquisition: Wisconsin-based digital business and technology consultancy Centare. In November 2021, the company announced it’s expanding to new cities, making Baton Rouge, La. and Buffalo, N.Y. Rural Sourcing’s ninth and tenth centers.
“At Rural Sourcing, we’ve developed a software development model that utilizes untapped talent in Middle America,” said Monty Hamilton, CEO of Rural Sourcing. “We hire the best technology professionals in the country, allowing them to work close to home instead of being forced to move to traditional tech hubs in search of a career. We’re not resting on our laurels. We will continue to grow to meet the demand for technology talent in the U.S.”
With a proven, exclusively U.S.-based model, Rural Sourcing delivers with speed and efficiency, while delivering the quality and responsiveness that are needed in today’s fast paced digital world. In 2019, Bain Capital Double Impact, the impact investing business of Bain Capital, acquired a majority stake in Rural Sourcing allowing the company to further scale its national footprint and digital service offerings while creating high-quality jobs and new technology corridors across the country. That same year, Rural Sourcing was ranked 22 on the Pacesetter list.
For the Pacesetter list, companies are ranked by a growth index formula that evens the playing field for businesses of various sizes. The revenue and employee growth indexes are the percent change from 2019 through 2021, multiplied by the absolute change for the same years.
