ATLANTA, Dec. 3, 2015 – Rural Sourcing, a leading domestic IT sourcing company focused on cost-effective onshore software development and support, today announces the opening of its new Software Development Center in Mobile, AL, with a commemorative ceremony, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mayor Sandy Stimpson will participate with other community leaders at the event.
The new office, located at 455 St. Louis Street, is part of the renovation and revitalization of the Buick Building and the surrounding area, known as Automobile Alley. The ceremony will include a presentation by Monty Hamilton, CEO of Rural Sourcing, a ribbon cutting, and a preview of the new office. The new center allows Rural Sourcing to complete its promise of bringing over 100 new jobs to the area.
The opening of the Rural Sourcing Software Development Center is a milestone for the company. It is the third center to open and illustrates the strong growth the company has experienced during the past several years. Other centers are located in Augusta, GA, and Jonesboro AR, with a fourth recently announced in Albuquerque, NM.
“Our decision to expand into Mobile highlights the tremendous technology talent that exists in this vibrant community,” said Monty Hamilton, CEO at Rural Sourcing. “It’s an honor to be among the early investors and catalysts for the growth in Mobile’s digital economy. We are equally excited to be an integral part of the city leaders’ vision for the technology corridor in downtown.”
“We are grateful to Rural Sourcing for making this investment in downtown Mobile, and we appreciate Monty Hamilton and his team for their confidence in our city,” said Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson. “This project is significant because of our ongoing effort to transform St. Louis Street into a technology and innovation corridor. The new jobs that RSI is creating will spur additional investment and economic activity, helping us to continue building momentum in downtown Mobile.”
Rural Sourcing’s mission is to be the onshore alternative for software development and support that might traditionally be sent offshore to countries such as India and China. By opening these technology hubs in low-cost of living, high-quality of life U.S. cities, Rural Sourcing helps clients lower their Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for IT. Furthermore, by having development centers in the United States, Rural Sourcing’s clients benefit from common language, cultural and business alignment and time-zone compatibility.
