Business Challenge


After the initial implementation of SAP additional requirements were identified by the business in order to improve usability and access to system information. However, the Seneca project team had moved on to the next project and onsite consulting became an expensive option.

Solution


RSI worked with the SAP team in place to transition much of the ABAP development work from onsite to our Center of Excellence in Arkansas. Through this effort we have been able to:

• Quickly work through the backlog of enhancements and reporting requirements.
• Transition SAP knowledge from onsite consultants to less expensive RSI consultants.
• Provided end users with much needed customized reporting requirements.

Results


General acceptance of the system has improved as users have been able to more quickly access information from the customized reports.

Seneca was able to :
• Reduce ABAP development costs by 60%.
• Quickly eliminate a lingering backlog of system enhancements.
• Free up resources to focus on upcoming/existing projects without distraction.
• Improve user attitudes toward the system
