Business Challenge
Clarus Information needed to quickly and efficiently turn their intellectual property into a commercial off the shelf software (COTS) solution that would be attractive to the Life Sciences market. This development would need to conform to the FDA validation standards for
software development (21CFR Part 11).
Solution
Knowing that they had a limited budget and a compressed timeframe dictated by an initial beta launch they began to evaluate all options for developing the software product. After careful evaluation of several options including offshore firms, Clarus chose Rural Sourcing as their development partner.
Technology Platforms:
• .NET Framework 3.5 using ASP.NET
• C#
• Microsoft SQL Server
• VMWare
Results
The project was successful in meeting both the budget and timeline constraints. Most importantly the beta customer was able to proceed with their project.
Clarus was able to:
• Meet the timeline for the initial
product launch
• Stay within budget
• Meet the standards for validated software used in the Life Sciences industry
• Develop a more robust product via close collaboration with the RSI
development team
• Rely on the RSI project management to drive the project to successful completion
